Edmund Morgan

Edmund Sears Morgan(17. tammikuuta1916–8. heinäkuuta2013) oliyhdysvaltalainenhistorioitsija.Hän loi merkittävän julkaisu-uran ja saiPulitzer-palkinnonvuonna 2006.

Minneapolisissasyntynyt Morgan opiskeli Belmont Hill Schoolissa jaHarvardin yliopistossa.Jälkimmäisessä häntä opetti itsekin Pulitzer-palkittu professoriPerry Miller.

Morgan opetti vuosina 1945–1946Chicagonja sen jälkeen vuoteen 1955Brownin yliopistossa.Vuonna 1955 hänestä tuliYalen yliopistonprofessori. Hänet tunnetaanYhdysvaltain historiaakäsittelevästä tutkimuksesta.
