As a big fan of the found footage genre, I could not wait to see this movie. This style, a type of faux television program, is reminiscent of the famous 1990s Ghostwatch and Without Warning videos. I think the one thing that lets it down is the insertion of behind the scenes footage not being shot in the same style as the rest of the movie. It does remove you from the immersion they are trying to present. Some things they could have done to improve it would be to add tv commercials from the 1970s between the breaks. There is some suspense build up throughout the film, and only ramping up to the scares near the closing.
Not perfect, but enjoyable.
