The template is intended to be used for very short expressions like variables. It is more cumbersome to use for equations or other expressions containing special signs that have to be escaped:

• {{tmath|x {{=}} {{!}} \vec {{(}} x {{)}} {{!}} }}gives$x=|{\vec {x}}|$
