Daniel Sagi-Vela

Chief Executive Officer

After nine years being Chief Financial Officer of FRV, in 2018 Daniel Sagi-Vela was designated as FRV’s new Chief Executive Officer. He is a member of FRV´s Board of Directors.

Before joining FRV, he started his career working for seven years at Royal Dutch Shell Group, in several positions in their Spain and UK offices. After being financial controller at Broadnet, he worked at Unión Fenosa Gas for seven years as Senior Vice President Finance, participating in the successful development and investment of a €2 billion LNG project.

Mr. Sagi-Vela graduated in Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE) in Madrid and holds a General Management Program from the IESE Business School.

Ricardo Lérida

Chief Financial Officer

Ricardo Lérida joined FRV in 2020 as Chief Financial Officer. He is a member of FRV´s Board of Directors.

He has over 20 years of experience in different multinational and multi-sectoral companies, always leading Finance and HR functions.
Prior to moving to FRV, Ricardo was a member of the Board of Directors of the Aldesa Group, a Company leader in the infrastructure sector with a turnover of around 1 billion USD and 2.500 employees, where he was accountable for the Group’s Finance; Risk Management; HR; Health & Safety and IT.

Ricardo earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and holds an MBA from IE University.

Javier Huergo

Chief Investment Officer and Treasurer

Javier Huergo is the Chief Investment Officer and Treasurer for FRV, coordinating FRV’s fundraising activities globally, including both debt and equity, and supporting country subsidiaries in M&A and project finance activities.

Javier Huergo worked previously 6 years at KPMG, within the Audit and Transaction Services departments, and spent 8 years in Banco Español de Crédito, being the head of the Infrastructure Finance team.

In 2009, Mr. Huergo joined FRV as Head of Business Development. After two years taking care of the international expansion of the company into new markets, he was appointed as Chief Investment Officer.

He is graduated in Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE) de Madrid and a Senior Management program coursed in the Instituto de Empresa.

Marco de Sousa

Chief Legal Officer

Marco de Sousa joined FRV in 2015 as Chief Legal Officer and as corporate secretary to the board of directors, after nearly a decade with global law firms based in the United States.

Prior to FRV, Marco was a project finance attorney with Chadbourne & Parke LLP (now, Norton Rose Fulbright) in Washington, D.C. While in private practice, Marco represented developers, sponsors, lenders, funds, institutional investors, and contractors in project financing transactions and construction/operations matters, primarily in the renewable energy sector. Before becoming an attorney, he was a finance industry consultant with Arthur Andersen LLP in New York.

Marco earned a bachelor’s degree, majoring in both Finance and Computer Information Systems, from Fairfield University, a law degree from Emory University School of Law, and an Executive MSc in Finance from HEC Paris. He is admitted to the bar of the State of New York and the District of Columbia.

Borja Guinea

Chief Operations Officer

Borja Guinea is a founding member of FRV. He started as a CM in Spain (2008-2009) and is now Chief Operations Officer.

Before founding FRV, he worked at Squire Sanders, in their Washington and Madrid offices, focusing on transactions in the energy sector. Additionally, he participated in the monitoring of the legislative procedures affecting commercial relationships within the energy sector in the American/Spanish Law.

Mr. Guinea holds a Bachelor Degree in Law from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE) de Madrid and an IESE Business School Short Focused Program in Finance.

Tristán Higuero

Chief Business Development Officer

Tristán Higuero is Chief Business Development Officer. He is a member of FRV´s Board of Directors.

Before that he was Chief Operations Officer for the East region, being responsible for FRV’s activities in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia.

Before joining FRV, he worked for five years as Vice-President within the Equity Capital Markets division at Banesto, in the Project Finance and Acquisition areas. He specialized in infrastructure and energy, and was directly involved in the financing and development of several projects within the energy sector including CSP, PV, gas and wind.

Tristán holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE) de Madrid.

Felipe Hernández

Chief Innovation Officer

Felipe Hernández joined FRV in 2008 as Head of Spain Technical. His talent and professional commitment granted him the position of Chief Innovation Officer.

He has over 18 years of experience in different multinational companies related with renewable energy, always leading innovation, development and new business models.

Prior to moving to FRV, Felipe was Managing Director of FRV-X, our technology platform, and as well Engineering & Asset Management Director. Felipe has international experience, being a key member of the FRV´s Middle East & Africa Business Development office in Dubai.

Felipe earned a Master´s degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and holds an EMBA from IE Business School.

Rif Abou Richeh

Board of Directors

Rif Abou Richeh is Vice President of Abdul Latif Jameel, a collective of independent international, family-owned and diversified businesses, where he heads the international operations across sectors including transportation, financial services, advertising and media, and general trading. He is a member of the board of FRV.

Rif Abou Richeh also leads Abdul Latif Jameel Investments, overseeing the expansion of the business into new geographies and sectors such as renewable energy, environmental services, and manufacturing.

Prior to taking up his role at Abdul Latif Jameel, he worked for a number of private sector companies, and held senior positions in businesses in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Rif Abou Richeh holds a degree in Business Administration, and gained an MBA from the University of Wisconsin in the United States.

Sidhesh Kaul

Board of Directors

Sidhesh Kaul is Vice President Finance & Legal for Abdul Latif Jameel, a collective of independent international family-owned and diversified businesses, where he oversees all financial and legal activities across the business operations. He is a member of the board of FRV.

Mr. Kaul has extensive international finance and legal experience starting his career at a leading global banking group and holding several senior positions with multinational, highly diversified conglomerates over the last three decades.

Prior to joining Abdul Latif Jameel, he spent more than a decade with another family-owned, diversified company.

Mr. Kaul holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Finance and Marketing) from the Indian Institute of Management, and a Bachelor of Law from The University of Mumbai, as well as a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from The London School of Economics and Political Science.

Yudhistira Ruli

Board of Directors

Yudhis Rusli is Vice President Finance, Abdul Latif Jameel, an international, family-owned and diversified business, founded in 1945, by the late Abdul Latif Jameel.

In this role, Yudhis oversees all financial functions including M&A across Abdul Latif Jameel. He is a member of the board of FRV.

Mr. Rusli joined Abdul Latif Jameel from a diversified Indonesian business Lippo Karawaci where he was Group CFO. Previously, he spent over 20 years with Unilever in senior leadership positions in financial management and audit roles across the world, including Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam and the UK and before this GE in Indonesia, Singapore and the USA.

Mr. Rusli holds a BBA in Accounting Chung Yuan Christian University, Taiwan, is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA®) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA).

Andy Soh

Board of Directors

Andy Soh is Vice President, Legal, for Abdul Latif Jameel, an international family-owned and diversified business, founded in 1945 by the late Abdul Latif Jameel.

Mr. Soh heads the global legal function at Abdul Latif Jameel, working alongside the business units’ leadership teams and operations to provide strategic leadership and direction on Abdul Latif Jameel’s legal and regulatory matters. He is a member of the board of FRV.

Prior to joining Abdul Latif Jameel, Andy was the Chief Legal Officer of one of Asia’s largest family-owned multinational corporations, where he had group-wide responsibility for the Legal, Corporate Secretarial, Compliance and Internal Audit functions.

Andy has 20 years of experience in the management of legal and regulatory risks within private practice and in-house roles, focusing on the resolution of critical legal issues and the development of integrated and commercially practical solutions for multinational companies.

Mr. Soh is admitted to the bars in New York, England & Wales, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Andy studied Law and graduated from King’s College London (LLB – Hons), Oxford University (BCL) and Harvard Law School (LLM). He also attended the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD Business School.

Frank Dorjee

Board Advisor

Frank Dorjee is an independent advisor of FRV’s Board of Directors since 2017 and at the moment is also acting as Chairman of the Audit Committee and Member of the Appointments and Remuneration Committee.

Frank Dorjee has a proven experience in finance and in electric power industry. He has held CFO and CEO positions in KPMG, Van der Moolen Holding N.V., Draka Holding N.V. and Prysmian Spa.

When joining FRV’s BoD, Mr. Dorjee was serving as Senior Advisor to the CEO of Prysmian Spa for joint ventures, as Vice Chairman of YOFC and as Member of the Supervisory Board of Randstad Holding NV and of Koole BV.

Frank Dorjee holds three Master degrees from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Amsterdam: Business Economics, Tax Economics, and Tax Law.

Philip New

Board Advisor

Philip New has more than 30 years’ experience in the energy sector and has held several management and business strategy positions within British Petroleum. He has been CEO of BP Alternative Energy, CEO of BP Biofuels, and Vice President of BP Product Strategy, Refining and Marketing.

When joining FRV’s BoD, Mr. New was serving as Chief Executive Officer of Energy Systems Catapult Ltd, an independent company established by the UK Government to support and enable the effective transition of the energy system in the United Kingdom, with a focus on innovative technologies and business models.

Philip New is also a Council Member of the World Economic Forum (WEF). He holds a Master in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford and is a Fellow of the Institute of Energy.
