🚀 Installation

1. Install a userscript manager:

   • ScriptCat forChrome,FirefoxorEdge
   • Tampermonkey forChrome,Firefox,EdgeorOpera
   • Violentmonkey* forChrome,FirefoxorEdge
   • OrangeMonkey* orOrangeMonkey Pro* for Chrome

2. InstallDuckDuckGPT(will load in userscript manager installed above)

3. Visitduckduckgo,type your search, engage bot!

*Violentmonkey, OrangeMonkey & OrangeMonkey Pro do not support Streaming Mode, so are not recommended

Tampermonkey Users

If you are installingTampermonkey(v5.2.0+) for the first time from theChrome Web Store,you must enableDeveloper Modefor userscripts to function.

To do so, visit chrome://extensions > activateDeveloper Modetoggle > restart browser

💡Note:If you installed Tampermonkey from the add-on store forFirefox,Microsoft EdgeorOpera,then Developer Mode is not required.

🕵️ Proxy Mode

Proxy API Mode (disabled by default) returns text responses using GPT-4o, without the need for a chatgpt account.

When disabled, a ChatGPT account is required to fetch responses. If OpenAI API is acting unreliable, enable Proxy Mode like this:
