Thermopylae(/θərˈmɒpɪliː/;Yunani Kuno dan Katharevousa:Θερμοπύλαι(Thermopylai)[tʰermopýlai],Yunani Demotik (Yunani):Θερμοπύλες,(Thermopyles)[θermoˈpiles];"gerbang panas" ) adalah sebuah tempat di Yunani di mana terdapat lorong pantai yang sempit di zaman kuno. Namanya berasal dari mata air panas belerangnya.[1]Dalam mitologi Yunani, Gerbang Panas adalah salah satu pintu masuk menujuHades.[2]
