오직 성경

오직 성경(sola scriptura, by scripture alone, 오직 성경만으로)이란 기독교 성경은 믿음과 실천의 유일하며 무오한 규칙이라고 믿는 기독교 신학 교리이다. 이것은 종교회의나 어떤 교회의 규칙보다도 오직 성경이 최고의 권위를 갖는 하나님의 말씀이며, 모든 것들에 앞서서 주장되어야 하며, 다른 신학적 주장은 오직 성경으로 검증되어야 한다는 것이다. 오직 성경과 함께 쌍을 이루어는 것으로 전체 성경(tota scriptura)을 따라서 성경을 이해해야 한다.

오직 성경(Sola scriptura)은 종교개혁 중에 마르틴 루터가 로마카톨릭교회에 대항하여 선포한 주된 신학적 신앙가운데 하나였다

오직 성경은 종교 개혁가들이 신학적 기둥으로 간주하는 다섯 솔라 가운데 하나이다. 종교 개혁의 핵심원리로서 성경의 해석과 적용은 성경이외의 어떤것과도 동일한 권위를 가질수 없다는 것이다. 루터는 "성경이 없는 교황보다 성경으로 무장된 평범한 성도들이 더 강하다"다고 말하였다. 종교개혁가들은 성경의 본문의 권위에 강조를 두었고, 로마 카톨릭 교회는 교회 전통과 성경에 함께 권위의 근거를 두었다.

루터란

루터란은 신 구약 성경은 하나님의 영감으로 된 것으로 신적 계시의 유일한 근원이라는 것이다. 오직 성경만이 믿음과 삶의 유일한 공식적인 원리이며 최종 권위인데 성경은 영감, 권위, 명료성, 충족성이 있기 때문이다.
