Mangle(s.n.,gen.manglis)[1][2]sivemangrovia[3](s.f.,gen.mangroviae) estarborearumautfruticaliumspecierumcongeries quae adaptationes possident cum quibus in solis inundatis subiectisaquae salsaeintrusionibus considere possunt. Hae species ad dissimilesfamiliaspertinere possunt. Inter adaptationes quae mangroviae possident sunt:
- Magnarumsalinitatisquantitatum tolerantia,
- Aeriaeradicesarborem in mollibus solis statuentes,
- Fluctuantia semina (plantulae)
- Structurae propriae quae utoxygeniumintret etdioxydum carbonisexeat permittunt (lenticellaeetpneumatophora).
