Huā Mùlán(Cina tradisional:Hoa Mộc Lancode: zh is deprecated) merupakan seorang tokohpahlawanCina yang diceritakan dalam suatulagendadari zamandinasti-dinasti Utara dan Selatan(420 – 589 SM) berjudulMùlán cí(Cina tradisional:Mộc lan từcode: zh is deprecated,"Balada Mulan" ); balada ini mengisahkan Hua iaitu seorang gadis yang menyamar sebagai seorang lelaki lalu mengambil tempat ayahnya yang uzur tua saat semua lelaki dalam kampungnya diarahkan menjaditentera kerahanMaharaja menyerang musuh. Mulan bertempur selama dua belas tahun dan mendapat penghargaan yang tinggi, tetapi dia menolak sebarang hadiah dan bersara di kampung halamannya.
