Amazon’s annual Prime Day sale is fast approaching — mark your calendar for July 16 and 17! — and there are already some early discounts cropping up. Strategist deals editor Sam Daly is tracking the best early Prime Day deals across all product categories, while I’m focusing on early Prime Day sleep deals, as there are actually quite a few. Below, I’ve rounded up the best discounts I’ve found so far on pillows, mattress toppers, bedding, and other notable sleep gear.
I’ve only included the deals I believe are truly Very Good — ideally at least 20 percent off, though I’ll sometimes make an exception for smaller discounts on products that rarely, if ever, go on sale. Right now, there are lots of worthwhile sales on Casper and Tempur-Pedic pillows and mattress toppers, and on bedding from Eddie Bauer. Pillows
This firm, molded Tempur-Pedic pillow has helped Strategist senior editor Simone Kitchens’s greatly reduce her neck pain. It comes in three sizes to accommodate different sleeping positions and body sizes.

Casper’s mattress topper is discounted a little less than 20 percent for a queen size, but the twin size is currently 40 percent off. The topper is made with the brand’s AirScape foam, which has a slightly bouncy feel compared to traditional (and more sinky feeling) memory foam.
My all-time favorite mattress topper from Tempur-Pedic is 40 percent off — it’s made from thick, dense, ultra-contouring foam that cradles your entire body.
For the same price — thanks to an even bigger discount — you can get the same topper but with a cooling cover.
This Tempur-Pedic topper is about an inch thinner than the other two, but is made with the same proprietary foam.
A decent deal on a basic topper, but only the two-inch, king-size model is discounted.
Bedding
