ਸੁਣੋ)ਦੱਖਣ-ਪੱਛਮੀਇੰਗਲੈਂਡਵਿਚਲਾ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ, ਇਕਾਤਮਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਤਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਰਸਮੀ ਕਾਊਂਟੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਇਕਾਤਮਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਤਾ ਦੀ ਅਬਾਦੀ 2009 ਵਿੱਚ ਅਬਾਦੀ 433,100 ਸੀ[3]ਅਤੇ ਲਾਗਲੇ ਵਡੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀ ਜੋਨ ਦੀ ਅਬਾਦੀ 2007 ਵਿੱਚ 1,070,000 ਸੀ।[4]ਇਹ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਦਾ ਛੇਵਾਂ, ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਦਾ ਅੱਠਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਖਣ-ਪੱਛਮੀ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਅਬਾਦੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਹੈ[5]
