The landlord refuses to accept part payment, and young Ted takes the money to return to the bank. In town he meets two confidence men who sell him a diamond as large as an Ingersoll watch. The town jeweler tells him that the stone is worthless. In the meantime a reporter from the "News" is visiting Ted's sister. He discovers the two crooks and beats them up. Not only does he get back Ted's money, but he also manages to return the stone to the Hindu sect and receive a large reward. A flash back shows how the jewel was stolen from the breast of a Hindu idol, and the reward was offered for its return because of its sacred value. Ted gets his money back, the landlord has his mortgage paid, the reporter wins the girl and the crooks go to jail.Written by The Film Daily, March 26, 1922 See less
