Allegheny County(/ælɪˈɡeɪni/) is acountyin the southwest of theU.S. stateofPennsylvania.As of 2020 the population was 1,250,578.[1]Thecounty seatisPittsburgh.[2]
Allegheny was Pennsylvania's first to bear aNative Americanname, being named after theAllegheny River.
