Bashkim Fino

Bashkim Fino(12 October 1962 – 29 March 2021) was anAlbanianpolitician andeconomist.He served as the 29thPrime Minister of Albaniain 1997. He was a member of theSocialist Party(PS). He held other government roles, including as Deputy Prime Minister (1997–1998) and two terms as the Minister of Public Works and Tourism during the 2000s. He was a member of theAlbanian ParliamentforFierfrom 2017 until his death in 2021.

Fino was born inGjirokastër.He served as themunicipality'smayor between 1992 and 1996.

On 29 March 2021, Fino died inTiranadue to theCOVID-19 pandemic in Albania.He was 58.[1]
