Edward Albert "Eddie" Heimberger(April 22, 1906 – May 26, 2005), known professionally asEddie Albert,was anAmericanmovie, television, stage, voice, radio actor, singer, comedian and activist. He was nominated for theAcademy Awardfor Best Supporting Actor in 1954 for his role inRoman Holiday,and then again in 1973 for his role inThe Heartbreak Kid.He is also known for his role inGreen Acres.

Albert was born on April 22, 1906 inRock Island, Illinois,[1]but was raised inMinneapolis,Minnesota.Albert studied at theUniversity of Minnesota.He was married toMargo Albertfrom 1945 until her death in 1985. They had two children. Albert died on May 26, 2005 inPacific Palisades, CaliforniafromPneumoniacaused byAlzheimer's disease,aged 99.[2]
