Flag of Malaysia
The flag ofMalaysia,also known as theStripes of Glory(Malay:Jalur Gemilang), was created in May 1950.[1][2]The flag has 14horizontalstripes alternatingredandwhite;in thecanton,ayellowcrescentand 14-pointstaron abluefield. In 1997, Malaysians were asked to name the flag, and Prime MinisterMahathir Mohamadchose the nameJalur Gemilangto symbolize the country's progress and success.
