Folk rock
Folk rockmusic is a mixture offolk musicwith modernrock music.Folk rock began in the mid 1960s with performers likethe Byrds.[1]Folk singerBob Dylancreated a sensation at the 1965 Newport Festival when he usedelectric guitarin his performance.[2]This led to many groups wanting to play folk music in the rock style. These groups includedFairport Convention,Steeleye Span,PentangleandAlan Stivell.
