Gung Ye(Hangul:궁예;Hanja:Cung duệ,869? – 24 July 918) was the king of theHugoguryeokingdom. He was aSillanoble. His family name was Kim (Template:Ko-hrrm), but was changed to Gung (Template:Ko-hrrm).

He was the illegitimate child of KingHeonan of SillaorGyeongmun of Silla.Later, around 880 he lost in theSillaroyal family's war of succession. Gung Ye disappeared in the north. In 900, he started a country called Goryeo.
