Inversion temperature

Sometimes,temperatureincreases withaltitude.In amountainousregion, cold and dense air slides down the mountain slopes into thevalleyby the earth'sgravityasKatabatic wind.It causes the temperature in the valley to be lowered. This is calledinversion of temperatureorinversion temperature.
