Jesse Woodson James(September 5, 1847 – April 3, 1882) was anAmericanoutlaw.He was the most famous member of theJames-Younger Gangin 1875. He was shot in the back of the head and killed byRobert Ford,a member of his gang for a$10,000bountythat was placed on James by then-Missouri governor Thomas T. Crittenden.
