Khnum(/kəˈnuːm/;also spelledKhnemu) was anEgyptiangod. He was originally the god of the source of theNile River.He was also the ram-headed god, a minor water god, the god of fertility, and thepottergod of creation. He created the first children on his potter's wheel with clay from the banks of the Nile River. Khnum also controls when the Nile will flood.
