Lieutenant Governor of Arizona

Thelieutenant governor of Arizonais a position that currently does not exist yet. The lieutenant governor will be the first in line to replace thegovernor of Arizonawhen the governor dies, resigns or is removed from office. This office will be higher ranking than the current second highest state ranked office ofsecretary of State.

In November 2022, the office was created after voters approved proposition 131.[1]
