Martin Lewis Perl(June 24, 1927 – September 30, 2014) was anAmericanphysicistof Jewish descent. Perl won theNobel Prize in Physicsin 1995 for hisdiscoveryof thetau lepton.[1]
Pearl died at Stanford University Hospital on September 30, 2014 from aheart attackat the age of 87.[2]
