Parade Square(Polish:Plac Defilad w Warszawie) is a bigcity squarein centralWarsaw,Poland.It was established in 1955 by theSoviet Uniontogether with the building of thePalace of Culture and Science.The square is one of the biggest inEuropeand the world. It was used in the Communist period by the government ofPeople's Republic of Polandformilitary parades.After the fall ofcommunismin Poland in 1989 the square was abandoned and made into amarketplace.
