Margaret "Pegi" Young[1](née Morton; December 1, 1952 – January 1, 2019)[2]was an American singer-songwriter,environmentalist,educatorandphilanthropist.

Her last two albums were:Foul Deeds(2010),[3]andBracing for Impact(2011). She toured and performed with her bandThe Survivors,which includesSpooner Oldhamon piano,Rick Rosason bass,Kelvin Hollyon guitar and drummer Phil Jones.[4]

From 1978 to 2014, Young was married toNeil Young.[5]They had two children.

Young died ofcanceron January 1, 2019 inMountain View, California,aged 66.[6]
