Sub-Saharan Africais the part ofAfricathat issouthof theSahara.It includes of all the countries of Africa that are fully or partly located south of the Sahara desert (exceptSudan).[1]It contrasts withNorth Africa,which is considered a part of theArab world.Somalia,Djibouti,ComorosandMauritaniaaregeographicallypart of Sub-Saharan Africa, but also part of the Arab world.[2]
