Uranosis theskyinGreek mythology.It is also speltOuranos,and inAncient Greek:Οὐρανός - "sky" or "heaven". He is the son and husband of the primordial goddessGaiaand father of theTitans,Hekatonkheires,andElder Cyclopes. His Roman equivalent wasCaelus,the husband ofTerra,as Gaia was known to the Romans.

TheplanetUranusis named after Uranos. So is theradioactivechemical elementuranium.

Uranos was killed by the youngest son (out of the Titans), Kronos with help of 4 of his brothers: Koios, Krios, Iapetus, and Hyperion.
