Wolfgang Ketterle(born 21 October 1957) is aGermanphysicist.He is a professor ofphysicsat theMassachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT). His works focused on experiments that trap andcoolatomsto temperatures close toabsolute zero.[1]
He won theNobel Prize in Physicsin 2001, together withEric Allin CornellandCarl Wieman.[2]
