George Francis Abbott(June 25, 1887 – January 31, 1995) was an American theater producer and director,playwright,screenwriter,andmovie directorandproducer.[1]His career lasted from 1913 until 1995. He won sixTony Awards,aPulitzer PrizeandDrama Desk Award.Abbott was born inForestville, New York.He was known for directing and writing manyBroadwayplays.[2]
Abbott died on January 31, 1995 inMiami Beach, Floridafrom astrokeat the age of 107.[3]
