Anglefortis acommune.It is found in theAuvergne-Rhône-Alpesregionin theAindepartmentin the east ofFrance.In 2009, 960 people lived in the commune. Theinhabitantsare theClafordans.The localeconomyis mostly based around asiliconfactoryand anEDFdamused forhydroelectricity.The most importantmonumentsin the commune are theChâteau d'Anglefort,a 13th-centurycastle,and the ruins of theChâteau de la Rochette.TheChâteau d'Anglefortis listed as amonument historique.Famous people from Anglefort includeJacques-François Besson,bishopofMetzin the 19th century.
