The Cisuralian was full of many animals such as actinopterygianAmblypterusand prototherapsidTetraceratops.The swampy fringes were mostly ferns, seed ferns, andlycophytes.
An unusual shark calledHelicoprionalso made its appearance. This strange fish had atooth whorl.
