Galactus,also known asGalanandThe Devourer of Worlds,is fictional character, an anti-villain and one of the main antagonists ofMarvel Comics,opposing the entireMarvel Universe,He is the archenemy of theSilver Surferand a recurring foe for theFantastic Four,Guardians of the Galaxy,Annihilators,X-Men,Thorand theAvengers.

Fictional character biography

He is an immortal cosmic being who eats and devours planets and feeds off their energy in order to survive. Although he is not exactly malevolent, he is nevertheless a dangerous individual who requires nothing short of entire worlds to hold off his eternal hunger and is also linked in such a way to the Marvel universe, that if he dies, the entire Marvel universe will end. This makes Galactus somewhat unique in the fact he is both an immensely destructive force yet also necessary for the existence of the universe.

As of the Reckoning War, Galactus officially died and has since been resurrected in the body of the Destroyer as the Destruction.
