TheMuseo del Pradois amuseumestablished on19 November1819,located inMadrid.It is one of the biggest and most important museums in the world. Its collection includes works of European artists, from the 12th to the 19th century. It was founded as a museum forpaintingsandsculptures,but also contains other types of works of art. The collections include many works ofFrancisco de Goya,Diego Velázquez,El Greco,TitianandPeter Paul RubensandHieronymus Bosch.In 2012, about 2.8 million people visited the museum. Some of the most famous paintings in the museum include: Las Meninas, The Garden of Earthly Delights, The Third of May 1808, and La Maja Desnuda. The architects that constructed the museum areRafael MoneoandJuan de Villanueva.[1]
