Peenemünde(peːnəˈmʏndə) is a village in the northeast of theGerman(Western) part ofUsedomisland. It is near the mouth of thePeeneriver, on the easternmost part of the GermanBalticcoast. The town became well known because of theV-2development byWernher von Braun.
