Shelly C. Lowe(born 1974/1975) is an American academic administrator. She is the chair of theNational Endowment for the Humanitiessince 2022 under theJoe Bidenadministration. She was a member of the endowment since 2015, after being nominated by PresidentBarack Obama.[1]Lowe is the firstNative Americanto be chair of the National Endowment for the Humanities.[2]
