The Waltons
The Waltons(September 14, 1972-June 4, 1981) was anAmericantelevision series.It was about a family inruralVirginiabetween1933and1946,during theGreat Depressionand theSecond World War.The series was distributed by Lorimar andsyndicatedviaWarner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.Sixtelevision moviesfollowed this: three in1982,and another three in the1990s.The series lasted almost nine years.
Although the story takes place in Virginia, the entire series was filmed inLos Angelesin theWarner Bros. Studios.The house (outside and inside) was build in the studio, just for the series. The mountain in the background (which has theHollywood Signthat was hidden, and which was shown as heavilyforestedand green withspecial effects) stood in for theBlue Ridge Mountainsin Virginia.
