Thomas Westerman "Tom" Wolf[1](born November 17, 1948) is anAmericanbusinessman and politician. He becameGovernor of Pennsylvaniaon January 20, 2015. He defeatedRepublicanincumbentTom Corbettin the2014 election for governor.[2]He was re-elected in2018.He left office on January 17, 2023.
Wolf is aDemocrat.Before being governor, he was the secretary of thePennsylvania Department of Revenuefrom April 2007 until November 2008.[3][4]
On February 24, 2016, Wolf announced that he had been diagnosed withprostate cancerin its early stages.[5]
