made me want to kill myself but cool game

In no way shape or form is this game a remake. It's an ok resident evil in my opinion not the best but also not the worst. Re3r discards everything the original had going for it and dilutes itself to the point of removing a good 1-2 hours of the original and somehow finding a way to make the r.p.d. section even more lazy than it was in 1999:(

This remake offers a rather short pleasure (approx. 5-6 hours).

Graphically and gameplay-wise very good, the light and sound effects are very well done. Some areas were already seen in the Resident Evil 2 remake, you can see parallels here straight away, but the progression is not the same, otherwise it would be boring.

Dodging is a bit more difficult and shooting the legs and running through them doesn't work. I always liked that in the original Resident Evil 4, for example.

The inventory system is OK, although Resident Evil 4 with the original suitcase was still the best part. The video sequences are well staged, but quick-time events don't always work. The story isn't a high-flyer but it's still acceptable. Many things are very predictable. For example: Big Room -> Boss Fight.

You should bear in mind that many scenes and puzzles were cut from the original game, which is a shame. But you can give the game a try when it's on sale.
