Getting Started
Before you begin, please keep in mind the following:
- Emailed counter notifications must include the information below in thebody of the email(not as a separate attachment) sent tocopyright@youtube.
- Counter notifications should besubmitted by the original uploaderof the content at issue.
- The original uploader must consent to sharing the information in the counter notification with the claimant.

- Full legal name:First and last name, not a company name. If you're an authorized representative, please also include your relationship to the uploader.

Counter notifications must include links to the content that was removed due to acopyright removal request.Links must be sent in a specific format(see below). General information such as channel name or channel URL is not acceptable.

Agree to and include the following required legal statements:
- "I consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the district in which my address is located, or if my address is outside of the United States, the judicial district in which YouTube is located, and will accept service of process from the claimant."
- "I swear, under penalty of perjury, that I have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled."

To meet this requirement, the uploader or authorized representative canenter their full legal name as their signature at the bottom of the counter notification.A full legal name should be a first and last name, not a company name.
