Bernie Mac(bornBernard Jeffrey McCullough,October 5,1957–August 9,2008) was an American actor and comedian of whom you may have heard. He starred in a Fox sitcom with the surprising title ofThe Bernie Mac Show.He was one of the stars ofThe Original Kings of Comedy,and appeared in many other movies, includingHouse Party 3,Mr. 3000,Madagascar 2,Ocean's Eleven,TwelveandThirteenand even several without numbers in their titles. A sufferer of lung disease sarcoidosis, Mac died of complications arising from pneumonia in August 2008 in his hometown of Chicago. In 2017,Rolling Stonenamed Bernie Mac #41 of the 50 Best Stand-Up Comics of All Time.
