- The Border Regions is a location onCybertronfrom theDreamwave portionof theGeneration 1 continuity family.
TheBorder Regionsare the subdistricts ofIacon,located neatly around the hub capital and bordered byNova Cronum,Polyhex,theTagan Heights,Altihex,andUraya.Two of its landmarks are thePromontoryand theForum of Enlightenment,the latter of which lies towards the border with Altihex. It seems likely at least part of the Border Regions eventually became (part of) theWastelands.

Megatronhad the Forum of Enlightenment blown up by activation of theplanetary engines,which forced plasma to surge through the vents right up to the forum above. The plasma surge devastated the place, killing allCybertroniansthere at the time.Optimus Primewitnessed the destruction from theTower of Pionand rushed into the Border Regions to check on the situation along withProwl,Ratchet,andRed Alert.As he lay eyes on the destruction and received updates on the growing body count, Optimus recalledUmbra's words and concluded that Megatron was behind the event.The War Within #2
