He and his partnerTreadshotwere assigned to killBumblebeein the aftermath of theTetherfalling. They almost succeeded but Bumblebee was rescued byChromiabefore they could finish the job.All Fall Down
With one of his optics having been shattered by Bumblebee, Catgut installed a tiny gun in its place and was among the group of Decepticons that seized theTitan Netcentral hub by force. He exchanged some threatening words withSteeljawduring the takeover.HuntCatgut remained on guard in the Titan Net hub whileMindwipe,Bitstream,andSparkstalkertried to reestablish control.Titans

- Part of the first assortment of individually-cardedAction Masters,released in the seventh and final year ofThe Transformersin the US, Catgut transforms from a black and orange mechanical panther into a "particle blaster"cannon that any Action Master figure can hold. He also has two post-holes on his flanks that allow him to carry two normal Action Master rifles.
- He was only available packed in with his larger partnerTreadshot.In an enormously strange twist, Treadshot'sinstructionsdepict a differentweaponthan the one the toy actually comes with—specifically, a weapon that wasn't available withanyAction Master, the handgun from the never-released-as-a-TransformerDiacloneJet-Heli triplechanger (much later known asFumes,Skyklik,andRotorbolt). The weapon thatwasincluded with Treadshot, meanwhile, is depicted inSoundwave'sinstructions, which resulted in quite a few mix-ups on toy information websites and in identification guides (including theTransformers Generationsguidebookand, unfortunately, the photo to the right).
