Chris Metzen(bornNovember 22,1973) is the co-writer (withFlint Dille) ofThe Transformers: Autocracyand its two follow-up series,MonstrosityandPrimacy.A video game designer atBlizzard Entertainment,he contributed scripts to theWarcraftandStarCraftseries, among others, and has begun branching into comic book writing.
Metzen is a serious fan of Transformers, citingThe Transformers: The MovieandSimon Furman's body of work as his main inspiration, and has admitted to being a fan of the then-ongoingandAll Hail MegatronalongsideMaximum DinobotsandLast Stand of the Wreckers.
Metzen went on to become the Chief Creative Officer at Warchief Gaming before eventually returning to Blizzard, and later wrote the foreword to theTransformers Roleplaying Gamecore rulebook.
Outside of writing, Metzen has a fair share of voice acting with Blizzard, having voiced Thrall inWarcraftand Bastion inOverwatch.He also voiced the archdragon Avizandum in theNetflix-original seriesThe Dragon Prince.
