TheDarby Avais a small fishing boat owned byChief Charlie Burns.It is remarkably buoyant and can easily support the weight of fourgiant robots.

Charlie Burns, his sonCody Burnsand their Rescue Bots set out on the annual Burns family fishing trip. They hadn't been out for long when they were attacked by agiant robot shark,which struck the boat, causingHeatwaveto fall overboard. After consulting withDoc Greene,Burns took the boat out again with the Rescue Bots, planning to use an electro-magnetic lure to trap the shark in a cove. The shark took the bait and started following theDarby Ava,but veered off to investigate theGriffin Rock ferry.After Burns andBladeswent to help the people on the ferry, the other Rescue Bots abandoned ship to attack the shark.Deep Trouble

After Cody and the four Rescue Bots were swept out to sea, the rest of the Burns family pressed theDarby Avainto service as a search-and-rescue vessel, along with many ofGriffin Rock's other boats.The Lost Bell

They used the boat to reachWayward Islandafter a meteor crashed there. During a second visit to the island to destroy the meteorite, theDarby Avawas swept into rocks, damaging the ending and triggering the countdown on the bomb they'd brought. Graham was able to fix the engine, and the bomb was used to destroy the meteorite.Bumblebee to the Rescue

The ship was taken on the mission to destroy theS.S. Isolde,which containeda dangerous invention.TheDarby Avawas damaged by falling ice and began to sink, but was saved whenDoctor Moroccolifted it up on hisshark submarineand carried it to shore.Tip of the IcebergFollowing an earthquake, Graham, Cody and the Bots used the boat to get to Wayward Island to check out a missing quake sensor. A super-magnet pulled the boat right out of the water and wedged it between two trees, ripping its engine clean out. It was later towed back to Griffin Rock usingDoc Greene's floating lab.In Search of the Griffin's Nest

While the team paint theDarby Ava,Kadesuggested they could speed up the process by loading paint into Heatwave's tanks. Heatwave wasn't keen.Rescue DogThe team attempted to use theDarby Avato reach theweather machinewhich Doctor Morocco had set up on a buoy offshore, but didn't get to even launch the boat as the weather machine produced columns of fire.Changes

During a voyage back from the mainland, the boat's propeller was snared by kelp. Kade inadvertently drawing jellyfish to the area by throwing shrimp overboard delayed them clearing it until they could lure the shrimp away.All Bots Great and Small
