Gwen Wetzleris an American animator, producer and director who was a producer on the first two seasons ofThe Transformers.She started in the animation business at Disney in 1955 as an inbetween animator and worked her way up from there. By the '80s, she had already become the first woman to direct animation at a major studio and had done so onFat Albert and the Cosby Kids,The New Adventures ofBatman,The New Archie/Sabrina Hour,Flash GordonandSport Billy.By producing onThe Transformers,she became the first woman to produce animation for a major studio, and went on to produce onJemandThe Legend of Prince Valiant.Her later directorial work includedHe-Man and the Masters of the Universe,Tiny Toon Adventures,andAll Dogs Go to Heaven: The Series.
More recently she has returned to her fine art roots, founding A.Muse Salon with three fellow animation professionals through which they exhibit their work.
