- Hot spots are a phenomenon from the2005 IDW portionof theGeneration 1 continuity family.
Ahot spotis a location in whichsparksare naturally known to ignite. Known hot spots have been recorded onCybertronand its moons, though the vast majority have gone dormant over time. They are also known assparkfields.
