Wheeljack created the Hyper Fuel in an attempt to get theArkspace worthy again, demonstrating its effects toOptimus Primevia his assistant drone. Though Optimus was initially impressed, the out of control drone convinced both that the Hyper Fuel needed some refinement.
When attempting to procure Wheeljack's drone for his after battle celebration,Grimlockdowned a tumbler of Hyper Fuel. Its powerful effects caused hisbeast modeinstincts to take over and he promptly downed a barrel of the stuff. Unfortunately for all involved, this sent him running around theArkout of control as he tried to burn off the excess energy. His errant course was contained when Optimus Prime trapped him, andWindblade,with theforce shield blaster,allowing the Dinobot to safely expel the energy. As Wheeljack pushed Grimlock back to his lab, he noted that the Hyper Fuel was too powerful and that he would instead use "Mega Fuel"for theArk.The Visitor
