Lift-Ticketis a salvage and mechanical repair specialist, appropriately equipped for rescue and repair operations with a tow cable that can pull several tons over vast distances, while his arms contain powerful servos and hydraulics that can lift twice as much. Highly alert and ever on-guard, Lift-Ticket's wariness helps to make up for the intense focus of his partner, theDiaclone projectengineerCline;more than once, Lift-Ticket has had to pull Cline's attention away from his repairs in order to evade a foe's attack.

Lift-Ticket was a rescue and repair mech created as part of theDiaclone projectand assigned toCline,an accomplished mechanic who was nominated to the project's team of pilots in order to perform repairs and prevent breakdowns in the field. Unlike the duo ofBurn OutandDia,Lift-Ticket's artificial intelligence was not based on Cline's personality, instead being given a cautious and wary personality to complement the methodical and detail-oriented Cline.TimelinesLift-Ticket profile

Crossing dimensions in pursuit of theWaruders,Lift-Ticket/Cline and Burn Out/Dia found themselves stranded onAxiom Nexus.Following a Waruder signal underground, the team bumped into a group of Cybertron's most wanted criminals. Startled, they fled the scene. The groups reconvened as they both wound up within the Waruder hive. Joining forces withC-81's group, as well asGeneral Optimus PrimeandSergeant Hound, they did their best to hold the insectoid invaders at bay. During the battle, the Lift-Ticket mech took a severe blow, disabling it. Thankfully, Cline escaped unharmed, and the Waruders were led off-planet thanks to the collaborative efforts of everyone involved.Cybertron's Most Wanted

This figure was available only in an at-show "Diaclone 2-pack" souvenir set withBurn OutatBotCon 2015.
In terms of assembly error, at least a small number of units have his towing hook assembled backwards. This seems most common in ones bought from the Transformers Collector's Club's web shop sales.
The original tooling of this toy also served as the basis of the non-toy charactersGeneration 1 Flatline,Wings UniverseTurbofire, andShattered GlassTrailbreakerandLockdown.

Notes

DiacloneHoist.jpg
  • Lift-Ticket is based on4WD Hi-Lux Wrecker Type(4WD(ダブルディー)ハイラックスレッカータイプ), theDiaclonemecha whose toy mold was used to createGeneration 1Hoist.It goes unstated whether Lift-Ticket's home reality has multiple or only one Wrecker Type mecha.
  • Lift-Ticket's name is taken from aG.I. Joecharacter,asFun Publicationsalso held theG.I. JoeClub license at the time.
  • Salvagewas a preliminary name for the character in homage to thethe similarly colored Autobotfrom the 2007 movie toyline,[1][2]and that name could still be found on BotCon Lift-Ticket's individual polybag.
  • Legacy/Generations SelectsLift-Ticket has absolutely no bio information whatsoever. The notion that he's a Cybertronian with a spark is an assumption based pretty much entirely on him having an Autobot insignia emblazoned on his hood.

  1. "Gen Selects Lift Ticket was just revealed by @Hasbro!! The BotCon 2015 toy came from one of my proposals, as did the name! (It's recycled from GI Joe, but I still love that it's stuck to the Diaclone color scheme!!!!) Burn Out next!! 🤣https://t.co/SJzVoxdn5J"—Jesse Wittenrich, Twitter, 2021/10/27
  2. "A little misleading... the name for him on the proposal was Salvage. Named after the red truck in the movie line. Since Burn Out and the Waruders were getting recycled GI Joe names, it was switched during production to" Lift Ticket "." —Jesse Wittenrich, Twitter, 2021/10/27
