Longarm is an evilAutobotfrom theShattered Glasscontinuity family.

Hypothesis: Perhaps this manner of speech gives me away.

Longarmis a high-rankingAutotrooperofficer in theSecret Police,serving as a forensic analyst. Aloof and distant, he has a high opinion of own abilities – secretly believing he could lead theAutobotsto victory as "Longarm Prime" – but his commanderNightbeattrusts him all the same.

Recently, though, something's gone a bit amiss with Longarm. He's become even more cold and secretive, and he's developed a desire for logical action to such a degree that unusual situations can leave him confused and ineffective. He'll disappear for long periods of time and then be unable to convincingly account for his whereabouts. Interrogative: Has this Autotrooper been compromised?

"Shattered Glass Longarm" is aredecoofReveal the ShieldJazz,available only at theBotCon 2012customization classes. He transforms from a robot into a purple sports car. The speakers can also combine with his rifle via clips to form a super rifle, or they can be used on any other clip-compatibleTransformerstoy.

Longarm came unpainted, with the point of the class being to give him his missing deco. Longarm also comes with an alternate Shockwave head and gun arm, which one can use instead of the proper head and hand. The head can fit during transformation if properly sanded, but the gun cannot. However, these were produced independently byFun Publications,and neither new piece is considered official Hasbro product.

This mold was also used to makeUnitedStepperandShattered GlassStepper,and the mold's alternate head was used to makeTreadshot.It was also retooled to makeGenerationsWheelieandTimelinesKick-Over.

Note that the image provided of the figure does not follow the exact paint specifications provided in the Customization Class. The front sides of the helmet are painted light gray in the photo when they should be left unpainted and the sides of the face painted light gray instead. The red detail on the stomach is also painted differently than on the instructor's sample.

• Longarm is, of course, an undercover Shockwave. Whilst which Shockwave in particular has never been officially confirmed,Shattered GlassShockwavedoesn't have the logic-obsession that Longarm is displaying, leavingClassicsShockwaveas the obvious candidate.
  • Longarm's 'creator',Shawn TessmanenvisionedClassicsShockwave as 'possessing' Longarm from a distance. This, however falls under the banner ofauthorial intent.
• Longarm is a few homages at once: Shockwave impersonating Longarm calls back toAnimatedShockwave,who infiltrated the Autobot ranks asLongarm Prime,whilst Shockwave as a JazzretoolrecallsAlternatorsShockblast,who was a retool ofMeister.
• Dan Khannamade it a personal mission to fit Longarm somewhere into that year's convention comic. And he did draw him in. However, he got colored as aShattered GlassRicochet.Not inShattered GlassRicochet'sactualcolors, mind, but in invertedGeneration 1 Ricochet-inspiredcolors. This was later revealed to be a planned separate character,Stepper.^[1]
