Medix is sure Perceptor will be thrilled to have him as a student. So when the science professor seems more interested in the other recruits, Medix determines to get himself noticed.

Synopsis
Heatwavetells the recruits he's going to be busy repairing theAsgard,andPerceptoris going to give them a science lesson.Medixis extremely excited at the news and immediately makes for Hero Hall, though the other recruits are worried their science knowledge won't be up to snuff. The first exercise is a satellite plummeting towards a crowded shopping mall. Medix volunteers to give a solution, but Perceptor instead picksHot Shot,who demonstrates how he'd useCubemoves to stop the satellite. The group heads out toGriffin Rock,where Medix resolves to find a way to impress the teacher. A dog on a runaway skateboard presents a new problem, and Perceptor again passes over Medix in favor ofWedge.Wedge's solution using a skate ramp is successful, but Medix is even more frustrated at not being picked.
The field trip visits a cable car on the side of a mountain. The cable car gets jammed and Medix sees another opportunity to impress Perceptor, only forHoistto be picked instead. Hoist uses a girder to tightrope walk to the car and drag it back down to the ground with his winch, saving the humans inside. While Medix plots to do something big to impress Perceptor, their teacher announces they're going back to the Academy to observe Heatwave's repair mission.
The group arrives back to find Heatwave puzzled as theSigmawent missing when he was halfway through takeoff preparations. Perceptor spots the ship approaching theAsgardand contacts Medix, who has taken the ship and intending to do the repairs himself. Despite Perceptor's warnings, Medix proceeds, and his safety cable becomes severed, though it snares on theAsgard.The rest of the recruits form a chain and head through thespace bridge,managing to grab Medix, who grabs theAsgardand piles them all inside.
Back at the Academy, Medix apologizes and explains he was trying to impress Perceptor, who points out he already knows Medix knows science and was trying to encourage the other recruits. Perceptor makes Medix his teaching assistant, though has to suggest toning down the young bot's ideas for lessons.
